Hassle

1. Once the code is generated, you cannot cancel until the validity period 10 min is lapsed. You have to wait it out.
2. By the time you wait out for the code to expiry, your checkout at partner’s page (e.g., Trip.com) would have expired, and applying the new code is useless.
3. It brings you back to adding a new item to checkout again. When you want to apply the Sg voucher code, you get the following error message, ‘code is reserved for an ongoing transaction. Please use new code after 15 min if you have changed your cart items or are discarding the ongoing transaction.
4. In summary, it is all about ‘no cancellation option’ and you have to wait out until code or transaction expires.
5. I expired my 1 hour trying to do this booking.

How to mute ‘chatty’ WhatsApp group?

Don’t worry, you still get the messages, BUT without the incessant notification bells/vibrations. This is important if you have over hundreds messages daily (and you don’t want to miss the important ones).

Steps:

1. On WhatsApp, select and hold the group chat
2. A tick indicate selected
3. Go to menu, symbol with ‘three vertical points’
4. Touch ‘Group info’
5. Scroll page, and under ‘Mute notification’, select activate mute.
6. There will 3 options, i.e., 8 hours, 1 week, OR always.
7. Done.
8. You can undone it the same way.
